EditableRootListBase with C# and "Edit Once" Grid control

I have an extended grid control that returns a limited number of rows and allows users to perform all updates at one time with the click of a save button. I've just upgraded to version 2.1. It looks like the new EditableRootListBase object is the way to go.

I just want to make sure I am following the best practices. Any word on the templates for this new object? Can I use this object with the "save once" functionality?
