    • Re: Authentication issue

A WPF application must reference Csla.Xaml.dll so the correct ApplicationContext.User provider is used. WPF requires special of the principal, and that special handling is implemented in a provider that is in that assembly.

    • Authentication issue

I have a simple WPF application and recently upgraded from 4.1 to 4.2 and authentication didn't work anymore. I've compared the source between 4.1 and 4.2, and it seems related to the way the user it stored in the ApplicationContextManager. I'm performing authentication on a background thread...

    • Re: wpf app losing Csla.ApplicationContext.User

Also, in a WPF client, you must reference Csla.Xaml.dll so you get the correct ApplicationContext.User provider for WPF.

    • Re: Csla.Xaml.InvokeMethod exception handling

InvokeMethod is deprecated and will be removed in a future version. You should consider using TriggerAction instead. It is more flexible, more powerful, and provides better debugging overall.

    • Csla.Xaml.InvokeMethod exception handling

This is the scenario: WPF-MVVM-CSLA 4.1 application The views trigger the view model methods via Csla.Xaml.InvokeMethod There is an AppDomain-level exception handler in App.xaml.cs for logging any random, app-killing exceptions for analysis and troubleshooting The problem is that InvokeMethod.CallMethod...

    • ViewModel lifetime

Hi folks, We're developing a business WPF application using CSLA4 and Bxf . We have just encountered an issue to manage the ViewModel lifetime. Cause, we didn't anticipate the ViewModel keep persisting through the pages. Per exemple, one viewmodel has a timer, to get data data periodically. And...

    • WPF and theMVVM pattern

Hi folks, Software: CSLA 4.1 – VS2010 After I have read the CSLA Expert C# 2008 Business Objects, watched CSLA 4 MVVM Video Series and practiced some CSLA with WinForm, I ‘m testing myself to create a small WPF demo in order to understand the basics (MVVM pattern) before starting the serious...

    • Re: IE 9 Giving Error "Unable to find assembly Csla" When Running as a Full-Trust XBAP

XBAPs are just a PITA. Total PITA. They tried to emulate the worst aspects of the web with that technology - yuck! If you insist on using an XBAP (where I think you should really use Silverlight - which works much better), you need to understand what the XBAP framework is doing to you (not really for...

    • Different views on TabControl

I'm trying to write a program that uses tabs to hold different usercontrols. What I currently want to happen is the user clicks a find button, a new tab is created, and a find screen appears inside it. Using the find screen the user can select clients and these then open in their own new tabs allowing...

    • TriggerAction on databound menus

I have a readonly list of TaskGroups that contains a description and a readonly list of Tasks that also contain a description. I've bound a MenuItem to the list of Task and I'm using HierarchicalDataTemplates to display the TaskGroup Description and Task Description in the menu. So the TaskGroups...
