    • Getting WindowsPrincipal for server call

I'm implementing some SQL Server replication stuff that happens from a Silverlight app and am running into problems with security. So, the user clicks a button which triggers an Update operation on the server and at that point I need to interact with SQL Server (using RMO - the replication API)....

    • Re: WCF Impersonation and Delegation

Thank you Rocky that link was very helpful. I believe I have put all of the pieces together. Hopefully this thread will be helpful for anybody attempting this in the future. First and foremost, I had to make a modification to CSLA to make this happen. I would like to request this as an enhancement to...

Have you read through the WCF security guidance book from Patterns and Practices? http://www.codeplex.com/WCFSecurity/ That's probably the most comprehensive source for WCF security configuration available.

    • Re: WCF Impersonation and Delegation

Thank you for the reply Rocky. I feel like I'm getting much closer to the answer. I implemented my own custom WcfProxy in my client app. I tried setting some different values of the ChannelFactory but I kept getting the error I pasted above. I may not be setting all that I need to be setting though...

    • Re: WCF Impersonation and Delegation

You may also need to subclass WcfProxy to configure the underlying WCF proxy object with your client Windows credentials. I don't know if that's required, but I do know we enhanced WcfProxy a long time ago so it was easy to subclass for the purpose of setting things like credentials on the actual...

I feel like I'm getting close but I'm not quite there. I have a hard time believing nobody has attempted this before. So far I have added this to the service's web.config file: <system.serviceModel> <behaviors> <serviceBehaviors> <behavior name="ServiceBehavior">...

    • Lazy Loading w/WCF Portal Problem

I am running into a problem when I run my application with a WCF Portal. I have a BO with Child and GrandChild BO's. I first ran into the problem with the GrandChild Objects, but double checked with just a Child Object. Things work fine with a Local DataPortal, but when I try to use a WCF Portal...

    • Re: WCF Operation Timeout

There are some settings that can be putting into the app.config to do with the timeout settings for the WCF connection. The settings you are looking for should be able to be found at this post . The other possible thing to look at is the timeout on the actual SQL statement itself, trying to debug when...

    • WCF Operation Timeout

I am working on a program using CSLA 3.7 that occasonally throws an error regarding a faulted WCF endpoint. The error follows: "This request operation sent to net.tcp://dt01:8500/LtsHostService did not receive a reply within the configured timeout (00:01:00). The time allotted to this operation...
