    • Hiding properties in datagrid

Hello, I have a simple WPF application using CSLA 4.5.30, with a DataGrid bound to a CollectionViewSource, which in turn is bound to a ViewModel that inherits from a CSLA ViewModel<T> object. In my case, it's a UserList (CSLA style) containing UserInfo objects. The data grid by default has...

    • Re: Csla.Xaml.InvokeMethod exception handling

InvokeMethod is deprecated and will be removed in a future version. You should consider using TriggerAction instead. It is more flexible, more powerful, and provides better debugging overall.

    • Csla.Xaml.InvokeMethod exception handling

This is the scenario: WPF-MVVM-CSLA 4.1 application The views trigger the view model methods via Csla.Xaml.InvokeMethod There is an AppDomain-level exception handler in App.xaml.cs for logging any random, app-killing exceptions for analysis and troubleshooting The problem is that InvokeMethod.CallMethod...

    • ViewModel lifetime

Hi folks, We're developing a business WPF application using CSLA4 and Bxf . We have just encountered an issue to manage the ViewModel lifetime. Cause, we didn't anticipate the ViewModel keep persisting through the pages. Per exemple, one viewmodel has a timer, to get data data periodically. And...

    • TriggerAction on databound menus

I have a readonly list of TaskGroups that contains a description and a readonly list of Tasks that also contain a description. I've bound a MenuItem to the list of Task and I'm using HierarchicalDataTemplates to display the TaskGroup Description and Task Description in the menu. So the TaskGroups...

    • Need help shifting from Winforms to WPF/MVVM

Hello, I'm trying to shift from using Winforms/CSLA 3.1.7 to WPF/MVVM using the current CSLA release. I'm having issues on translating my winforms UI approach. The old approach typically had a grid that was bound to a read only list of objects. Once the user selected an item, I would then fetch...

    • CSLA and MVVM frameworks 2011?

I'm new to MVVM and I'm struggling to make a decision on which MVVM framework to adopt. We use CSLA extensively on the app server side, but not currently within our WinForms client apps which are 2-tier apps using an SOA architecture - i.e. loosely coupled from the server. Some of these apps...
